Year-long plant planning: In our houseplant log book, there is a plethora of carefully crafted tracker pages to help you connect with nature. Start your journaling journey with the year overview. Undated to allow for complete flexibility, you can 'Information dump' your plans for your year, month by month, all in one place. There is even space to note 'Holiday Care Preparation'. This section is handy to remind yourself to schedule time for seasonal pruning and gentle maintenance, like dusting, to ensure your plants can photosynthesise efficiently in your absence.
Room-by-room light mapping: Across three Light & Location pages, you can map out your main living spaces with intention. Highlight any free zones for future shelving or high traffic areas that are unsuitable for plant pedestals. Record any seasonal changes that may affect growth, like proximity to radiators or shifting light blocked by curtains. It is the perfect place to log elements like light direction, intensity and quality. Don't forget to track the seasonal hours of light, too.
Weekly plant care tracking: Schedule key weekly tasks like misting your Orchids, watering Peace Lilies and feeding Rubber Plants, with our Houseplant Care pages. Covering a full 52-week period, this section makes it effortless to flick through and track watering dates at a glance. Use the note area to record any observations, like growth changes. Or as a space for reminders, like getting a grow light for your Spider Plants, or a watering stake to keep your Pothos perfectly hydrated.
Propagation progress perfected: There is nothing worse than losing track of your 'new growth'. With our Propagation Log you can track every delicate detail of your plant experiments. Record the plant's original source, propagation method used, the date those first tiny roots appeared, and follow its journey all the way to becoming a thriving member of your indoor ‘jungle’.
The notes section becomes the perfect place to celebrate success stories, reflect on lessons learned, and refine your techniques. Often, it’s the simplest propagation methods, like placing a cutting in a small jar of water, that prove the most satisfying and rewarding to watch grow.
Root room to flourish: With so many plants to care for, it’s easy to lose track of when they’ve been rehoused from the containers they quickly outgrew. Our Repotting Log helps you record the date, along with the old and new pot sizes, so you can clearly track each plant’s progress.
There is ample space to note the root condition and your chosen soil mix. After all, timely repotting prevents root-bounding and ensures healthy root development. The handy note box is great for logging any additional fertiliser or extra treatment administered at the time, ensuring nothing is forgotten.
Pest problems logged: Stop the spread of pests and diseases with our log pages. Keep track of every step, from the first sighting of pesky fungus gnats and their impact on your plants, to quarantine dates, treatment applications and their results. The note section is ideal for recording successful prevention measures, like the exact ratio of soap to water in the misting bottle. With clear records to hand, you can act quickly and confidently, keeping your plants happy, healthy and thriving.
Wishful planting plans: If you find yourself constantly daydreaming of expanding your brood, while honouring your self-imposed plant ban, this may become your most thumbed section. With space for ten dream plants to be logged, it offers room for quiet consideration for what truly belongs in your home.
Note each plant’s potential placement in the “planned spot” section, and brush up on your knowledge game with the difficulty level scale, and adjust expectations using the “max price I’ll pay” box. Finally, justify your 'essential needs' with the why I want it section. Before you know it, that low-maintenance Aglonema Pink Star could be thriving on your kitchen bench.
So, whether you’re welcoming your very first houseplant or using this book to help perfect your leafy sanctuary, we hope it helps your plants thrive. Happy nurturing from the team at Wayzgoose!
